Open house March 6..
The Nashville Film Institute (NFI) has announced their Spring open house for March 6 from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at their school location: The Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Road, Building 2, 2nd floor, Franklin, TN. Visitors will meet instructors and current students, view the facility, meet the faculty, and have the opportunity to learn more about receiving an education in the film industry.
A major distinctive of NFI is their highly focused program that transforms the entering student into a film professional in just 9 months. As part of the tuition, students receive an Apple MacBook Pro loaded with Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro editing software, affording them top notch tools of the trade to enhance their learning experience. As students begin to build a career in the film industry – the NFI program teaches them both the art and business of filmmaking.

Our faculty is made up of award winning film professionals with real world experience. Professor Will Akers, from Vanderbilt University, and Mark Cabus, adjunct professor at both Belmont and Vanderbilt Universities are among those shaping the learning experience at NFI.

Our campus is in a working professional environment with great opportunities to apprentice under professionals in the field. Students have participated in feature film projects.
