Publisher’s Note

By NashvilleArtsTeam on March 1, 2010

I wear many hats at Nashville Arts Magazine…so many you might say I collect them. My many jobs include getting to help with editorial decisions, subscriptions, distribution, writing, advertising, and all web-related aspects of the magazine. I find myself thriving in this atmosphere that allows me to have a creative outlet as well as structure. This is a job that leaves me more inspired each and every day, and I hope our magazine leaves you just as inspired every month.
I have fallen in love with Nashville and am so proud that my job is to promote how truly cosmopolitan it has become. We live in a city that is artistically progressive and boundless, and people all over the world are starting to take notice. I am a part of a team that seeks out Nashville’s hidden gems in the city’s art community, and it is incredibly fulfilling to help discover and share Nashville’s indigenous talent in every form that art assumes.
My current project is cultivating that art community via our website. Previously, it was only a convenient way to access our articles once our racks were empty (which we always take as a good sign). We now have an events calendar available on our site for you to view all of the arts events happening each day in Nashville. It is my hope that our calendar becomes a valuable resource for all of our art-supporting locals.  If you have any art events that you would like to see on our calendar, there is now a form on our website that allows you to send your event straight to my e-mail. I would love to help publicize your event!
