Publisher’s Note | May
With each brushstroke, an artist devotes himself to his craft in order to better capture the essence of his subject. Although the intended audience comes to know and value the end product that hangs on the wall, much more occurred behind the scenes as part of a process to realize that work. Countless hours of practice and experience accumulate to arm the artist with the tools necessary to transform any media, whether film, paint, or clay, into imagery that strikes at the heart and mind of a viewer.
Such is the way that Nashville Arts Magazine prepares the magazine. Each issue is conceived months in advance at a brainstorming session. Potential features are scribbled down and pieced together with precision, like the verses to a song or poem. Simultaneously, our sales team works to build upon what has become one of Nashville’s most effective advertising vehicles. Finally, our distribution team ensures that our magazine is enjoyed throughout Middle Tennessee.
Your support as subscribers, advertisers, and fans of this publication is what underpins all these efforts. I hope you enjoy the May issue.
