Blog Post (Video): The Lumineers at Grammy Camp — Soundcheck
by Deborah Walden, Photos and Video by Aubrey Swander
Last week, the Recording Academy invited Nashville Arts Magazine to The Cannery Ballroom to meet The Lumineers. The Grammy Foundation hosted the event as part of educational outreach in the community. Local high school and college students were invited to an extended soundcheck with The Lumineers. The band also took part in a question and answer session with the crowd to teach kids about the music industry. Nashville Arts Magazine spoke to The Lumineers about their work with the Grammy Foundation and why music education is important to them. View the above video to hear the interview and view footage of the performance. For more information on music education in Nashville, look out for our ArtSmart section on Friday, August 31 (in print and online).
