Ever since her feature on Jack White’s “Love Interruption in 2012, Ruby Amanfu has been the matron of one of the most recognizable voices in soul-rock. This, along with tapping her toes on every typal base of the music playing field, has provided her with the clout and inimitable talent necessary to drop an album like Standing Still. Released in late August through Thirty Tigers Records, it testifies to her broad taste in music with song covers ranging from Kanye West’s “Streetlights” to Bob Dylan’s “Not Dark Yet.”

On Wednesday, November 4, Amanfu is performing at 3rd & Lindsley to showcase her raspy, soulful take on these songs — and her one original track from the album: “I Tried.”
