Nan Jacobsohn has been an artist for her entire life. She is known for her beautiful portrayal of horses. She enjoys using the image of horses in her artwork to portray their innate strength, beauty, and power, which she believes to be the same traits that so many women are searching for. Additionally, her masks carry the same spirit of power and beauty as her horse sculptures. Nan is currently a resident artist at The Clay Lady’s Campus where she teaches sessions on sculpture, bas relief, and mask-making classes. The Mask Gallery Show, featuring work by Nan and her students, will be shown throughout the month of October, with a closing reception with Nan and her students on Friday October 27th at 5:00 pm at The Galleries on The Clay Lady’s Campus.
