Art After Hours marks an important new milestone for the Nashville Association of Art Dealers (NAAD) organization as the first monthly, citywide program to promote the visual arts.  Nashville is widely known for its music and the performing arts.   NAAD hopes to bring more attention and recognition to the many contributions that visual artists, commercial art galleries, and art institutions make to the cultural life and health of the city.

NAAD is a membership organization of respected and established art dealers throughout Nashville. Its 36 members and associate members are dedicated to promoting and maintaining the highest degree of professionalism in business conduct and collectively aim to increase support for the visual arts in Nashville.

The organization was formed 21 years ago by several galleries that began meeting to discuss ways to collectively support a new fundraiser for AIDS education – Artrageous.  In addition to two decades of involvement in Artrageous by member galleries, NAAD has held benefits for Watkins College of Art & Design, awarded project grants directly to art teachers in public schools, and supported the Tennessee Watercolor Society and the art department at Nashville School for the Arts. NAAD also produces the annual Guide to Nashville Galleries & Museums.
