This November at Tennessee State University’s Hiram Van Gordon Memorial Gallery will host an exhibition called The Nashville Poster Project in cooperation with artist Carl Pope.
The Nashville Poster Project is a community-based exhibition of art that reflects on Nashville though the use of text and type. The work in the exhibition will come from a Nashville-wide Call for Entries. Anyone is free to enter, regardless of age or art background.
We encourage you to leverage Nashville’s use of letterpress and the poster/broad side form as inspiration. Deadline for work is October 10, 2010.
To get an emailed copy of the Call for Entry, call (615.963.1599) or email (gallery@tnstate.edu) or see the TSU Art Galleries Facebook page.
Project supported in part by the generosity of the Institute for Museum and Library Services and the Tennessee Arts Commission.
