Local Designer Jonathan Pierce Hits the Airwaves
Nashville’s design aesthetic is taking on the world. Hit History Channel program American Pickers now has a Nashville incarnation with star Mike Wolfe’s retail store Antique Anthropology in Marathon Village. Former White Stripes frontman Jack White’s Third Man Records has put Music City on the map for innovative album design and packaging. New television pilots and design projects are sprouting up all over town, transforming Middle Tennessee into a burgeoning new center of design culture. HGTV’s Interiors Inc. is making another Nashville name the topic of conversation around the country. The program follows interior designer Jonathan Pierce and his design firm Pierce & Company as they transform homes through a unique aesthetic vision.
Nashville art lovers saw a few familiar faces on Interiors Inc. in March when downtown gallery owner Susan Tinney brought an artistic flourish to a recent episode.
