Becoming a theatre artist was not an occupation Barry Scott dreamed of as a child growing up in the South in the 1960s. After becoming an actor who worked pretty regularly, one thing he did know is that he never wanted to start his own theatre. Never say never, my friend. Today, Barry not only has his own company, the American Negro Playwright Theatre, but this vibrant organization is currently in residence at his very own facility, the Next Level.
